A Legacy of Serving Our Community
80 years ago, Rev. Lester Miller felt deep compassion for those struggling with life’s most difficult challenges and the hopelessness that had overtaken them. He and Mrs. Miller dedicated their lives to building the ministry of the Lebanon Rescue Mission.
40 years ago, a small group of passionate community members united to provide Lebanon County with its first safe haven for women with children. The Agape Family Shelter has served over 630 families. The ripple effect of those lives changed is hard to comprehend.
We have expanded the current location as far as logistically and economically possible. It is hard to convey the helplessness felt when you are the one that answers the call from the women desperate for safe shelter, and you know that our ministry and our partner ministries are full. There is no answer for her in Lebanon County.
Over the last couple of years, we have also seen an unprecedented increase in demand for safe shelter of our communities’ seniors who are experiencing homelessness. The Agape Safe Haven expansion project, will meet the unquestionable need for shelter and support services for women with children and our seniors.
Meeting the Need
The new facility will triple our current capacity, offering 25,000 square feet with 40 rooms for women with children and seniors.

Your Opportunity to Partner
The Board of Directors and staff of the Lebanon Rescue Mission recognize that embarking on this significant expansion project is not a decision to be made lightly. Wise stewardship is at the heart of our organization. This endeavor has been approached with much prayer, thoughtful planning, and a deep desire to seek God’s wisdom. We know that a project of this magnitude is only possible through the generosity of those who share our mission. Your support is not just a financial contribution — it’s an investment in the lives of struggling mothers with children and seniors experiencing homelessness.
We ask that you prayerfully consider a gift that feels right to you. Together, we can build a safe haven where people are treated with care, dignity and compassion.
Fulfilling the Need
Your gift helps expand care for women with children and seniors experiencing homelessness. Our project funding plan includes: proceeds from the sale of existing properties, multiple grants and your generous support.

The Lebanon Rescue Mission is So Much More Than Meals and Beds
…it’s the beginning of lasting transformation. Our guests are rebuilding their lives, restoring broken relationships, and forming healthy, supportive connections. Most importantly, guests have the opportunity to build a relationship with Jesus Christ. This is a place where hope is renewed, lives are rebuilt, and change takes root. The impact reaches far beyond our walls, and you are a part of every life changed through Christ. Thank you.
