Agape Family Shelter receives 2015 grant award from The Women’s Fund!
In November 2015, Agape Family Shelter received a generous $1825.00 award from The Women’s Fund, a partner of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC). With this funding, we will be able to establish a satellite of the NOVA education program at Agape Family Shelter. This grant will cover the cost of computer software, equipment, and learning materials. In the new year, Agape’s program will include state of the art literacy, computer skills, and educational courses for in-house women and teenage girls. Please join us in thanking the Women’s Fund — this is an exciting step forward for women in our community.
Having the distinction of being one of the oldest community foundations in the country, TFEC is a leading source of aid for nonprofits in our area. The Women’s Fund helps provide positive, life-changing services for women and girls. Through the generosity of both agencies, Agape Family Shelter will be able to provide transformative learning skills to homeless women and girls in our community. We are honored to have been selected as a 2015 Women’s Fund award recipient.
